About LipoDissolve
The LipoDissolve program involves a series of micro-injections placed directly into the target areas of unwanted fat. The injection consists of a mixture of phosphatidylcholine (PC) and deoxycholate (DC), substances that occur naturally in the human body. When manufactured, these substances are derived from soy plants.
PC has been used since the late 1950s as an oral supplement to reduce cholesterol levels. It has been used since 1989 intravenously for treating fat build-up in arteries, and since 1996 for cosmetic treatments. More than 50,000 clinical uses world wide have been documented with no significant adverse side effects.
About the LipoDissolve Treatment
With LipoDissolve, fat cells are dissolved with a series of small needle injections. For each area of fat or “cosmetic zone,” a series of about six treatments spaced 2 - 4 weeks apart will generally yield the desired result. Many LipoDissolve patients notice a reduction in fat and improvement of shape in as little as 4-8 weeks.
Ideal candidates are those within a healthy weight range for their height or with a body mass index of less than 30.
Although LipoDissolve is not a treatment for weight loss, it nonetheless results in losing inches in the treated area.
Potential treatment areas include: abdomen, love handles, inner and outer thighs, upper and lower back or “bra bulge,” backs of thighs, upper arms, and double chin.
Post Treatment Care
A normal reaction to LipoDissolve treatment is 30 – 60 minutes of itching and or burning at the injection site. You may experience swelling for up to 2 - 5 days. Swelling usually reaches its maximum by 24 hours and then gradually begins to diminish.
You will then notice your fat area becoming firm or the development of small nodules, which is a sign the treatment is working. Your body naturally breaks down the treated fat cells, and they are excreted through the body’s natural metabolic processes.
